Francia Raisa and Lindsey Broad

Raisa was raised by her parents in Los Angeles by both of her parents. Irlanda Almendarez & Italia Almendarez. Her initial name, Francia, is Italian for France. Italia means Italy in Italian The same as Irlanda is a reference to Ireland. Her mother, Virginia Almendarez has Mexican roots while her father, Renan, has roots in Honduras. Renan changed his name to El Cucuy not very long after the birth of Francia. Renan is an infamous radio host and popular Latino DJ from Los Angeles. Francia as well as the other sisters they raised had a father who was an actor in Hollywood. She is fluent in both Spanish as well as English. Francia began dancing when she was 5 years old. The classes were available to students of any type of dance. They included all styles of dancing, from jazz to tap Polynesian hip-hop and acrobatics. In addition, she was enrolled in lessons in various sports, including ice skating and karate. She also studied modelling and acting in her final senior year of high school. Francia attended Bishop Alemany School Mission Hills California. It was also part of the school's cheerleading team.
